The TRU FIT Training Method

STRENGTH :

WORK

WORK is the main focus of our TRU FIT training programme, focusing on building STRENGTH throughout the week, with a main lift and strength accessories - every session is a full body workout:

  • Monday - Squat pattern and full body

  • Tuesday - Hinge pattern and full body

  • Wednesday - Press pattern and full body

  • Thursday - Pull pattern and full body

  • Friday - Deadlift and full body


We start the week with a slight focus on lower body, with both main lifts being a squat and hinge on Monday and Tuesdays. As we go through the week we switch to upper body and then finish with a deadlift on a Friday.

TURF

TURF is a class for practicing you Olympic lifting and metabolic conditioning in teams to prep our members for competing in TURF GAMES

We have TURF sessions on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and have a large capacity to accommodate everyone looking to get into competitive fitness.

TURF GAMES Summer and Winter are the main fitness events participate in as a gym, along with Battle Cancer London every year.

Competitive fitness is for everyone and is a great way to build the community here at TRU FIT Training, giving our athletes a focus to train for throughout the year.

FITNESS :

BURN

BURN sessions are our high intensity sessions - primarily designed to improve your conditioning, capacity, and strength. These sessions will be solely focused on Metabolic conditioning - so lifting weights, quickly, with minimal rest. A really good session to build strength and capacity.

The mindset behind our BURN sessions is to work on your ability to improve and sustain physical and mental stamina.

Our BURN sessions are on Tuesdays and Fridays throughout the day.

SWEAT

These classes are designed to get a sweat on and build your endurance. Here you’ll see longer intervals on row, ski, bike as well as burpees, step ups, jumps and maybe some running.

The idea of these sessions is to keep them low impact and no weighted movements. This means your can use these not only to build your fitness and endurance, but to recover from heavier lifting days.

SWEAT sessions are on Mondays and Wednesdays at 6am and 5:30pm.

CORE

One of our most popular sessions of the week, where we combine cardio and conditioning work with core stability and strength movements.

Similar to SWEAT in respect of low impact movements and lots of intervals on the row, ski and bike - but this is at a much lower intensity focusing on recovery and paired with those essential core movements to help build stability and strength.

CORE sessions are all day Thursday.

TEAM

A fun workout with the community at the weekend.

On Saturdays we kick-off the weekend and get stuck in together as a TEAM. Focusing on community, perseverance, grit and determination. The purpose of these sessions are to conduct optimal threshold training to facilitate our members' aerobic capacity.

You’ll be combatting these workouts with your TEAM and the support of the community around you.
